AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ is a liquid heat insulation waterborne material designed for prevention of condensation formation on metal, brick and other surfaces. AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ does not contain organic solvents and volatile compunds and is a safe, non-toxic product suitable for use both inside and outside residential buildings and industrial facilities.

Possible Uses:

AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ is applied in a layer at least 2.5 mm thick with the outside temperature from +7С° to +90°С to a surface with similar temperature. Once the heat insulation layer is completely dry, the surface can be used within 24 hours within the temperature range from -60°С to +200°С.

The flow rate of Anti-Condensate™ liquid insulationis 1 liter per 1 m² of the surface with the layer thickness of 1 mm. The color of the coating once it is dry is white.

The solvent for the product is water.

Product transportation conditions: with the temperature from +7°С to +40°С.

Packaging: 1,2,5,10 or 20 liters plastic bucket.

Technology of applying AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ liquid insulation material to surfaces

If the area of the surface in question is not too large, an ordinary paint brush can be used.

Application of liquid heat insulation is performed using a special airless spraying installation designed specifically to work with such type of materials. To apply a layer of heat paint it is necessary to use a muzzle made of a hard-alloy material, because ordinary muzzles tend to get out of order soon.

Reasons for Condensation Formation

Formation of condensation in the form of water streamlets on the surfaces of walls, ceilings or drops on windows, surfaces of pipes or transportation vehicles is a sign of insufficient or unsatisfactory insulation. Condensation is an ordinary yet very unpleasant phenomenon that happens because of the temperature gradient inside and outside the building or because of the difference between the outside temperature and the temperature of the liquid material inside, as is the case of pipelines . In a residential building condensation formation leads to increased humidity, creates unfavorable microclimate and uncomfortable living conditions. The formation of excessive humidity or an ice coating on metal surfaces, including pipes or parts of transportation vehicles, leads to premature wear because of rust and corrosion.
