AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ Liquid Heat Insulation Coating for Protection Against Condensation

Устранение конденсата

AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ is a liquid heat insulation waterborne material designed for prevention of condensation formation on metal, brick and other surfaces. AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ does not contain organic solvents and volatile compunds and is a safe, non-toxic product suitable for use both inside and outside residential buildings and industrial facilities.

Possible Uses:

AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ is applied in a layer at least 2.5 mm thick with the outside temperature from +7С° to +90°С to a surface with similar temperature. Once the heat insulation layer is completely dry, the surface can be used within 24 hours within the temperature range from -60°С to +200°С.

The flow rate of Anti-Condensate™ liquid insulationis 1 liter per 1 m² of the surface with the layer thickness of 1 mm. The color of the coating once it is dry is white.

The solvent for the product is water.

Product transportation conditions: with the temperature from +7°С to +40°С.

Packaging: 1,2,5,10 or 20 liters plastic bucket.

Customer pick-up: free of charge from the company warehouse.

Cost of delivery: from 300 rubles up, depending on the volume of the order.

Technology of applying AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ liquid insulation material to surfaces

If the area of the surface in question is not too large, an ordinary paint brush can be used.

Application of liquid heat insulation is performed using a special airless spraying installation designed specifically to work with such type of materials. To apply a layer of heat paint it is necessary to use a muzzle made of a hard-alloy material, because ordinary muzzles tend to get out of order soon.

100% Elimination of Condensation Formation

Using AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ heat insulation coating is an easy, accessible and reliable way of fighting undesirable effects of conensation. Liquid insulation creates a defensive barrier for the building or facility inside or outside. Using a multifunctional coating with unique features is guaranteed to eliminate the possibility of condensation formation on any type of surface and thus creates a favorable climate inside.

The liquid heat insulation coating is easily applicable to any types of surfaces thus creating a smooth, even, eye-pleasing surface. Due to it being easy to use – similar to using traditional paint – it allows for a quality finish resistant to negative impact of the environment.

Reasons for Condensation Formation

Formation of condensation in the form of water streamlets on the surfaces of walls, ceilings or drops on windows, surfaces of pipes or transportation vehicles is a sign of insufficient or unsatisfactory insulation. Condensation is an ordinary yet very unpleasant phenomenon that happens because of the temperature gradient inside and outside the building or because of the difference between the outside temperature and the temperature of the liquid material inside, as is the case of pipelines . In a residential building condensation formation leads to increased humidity, creates unfavorable microclimate and uncomfortable living conditions. The formation of excessive humidity or an ice coating on metal surfaces, including pipes or parts of transportation vehicles, leads to premature wear because of rust and corrosion.

The following are the main reasons for condensation formation:

  • temperature gradients and “dew-point” temperature
  • defects of construction facilities that result in air intrusion from warm spaces to cold ones such as attics
  • presence of interpanel joints, holes, cracks or damage of various types of surfaces
  • insufficient ventilation

Using AKTERM® anti-condensation heat insulation coating helps to eliminate the problem of condensation formation regardless of the reason for this problem. AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ effectively insulates cracks and defects; it is applicable to uneven surfaces and hard-to-reach areas; it preserves warmth and guarantees safe protection against cold and moisture.

AKTERM Anti-Condensate™:

  • effectively solves the condensation formation problem caused by temperature gradient on metal surfaces, as well as inside residential and non-residential buildings on concrete and brick surfaces as a result of dew point formation
  • prevents the formation of condensation on cold-water supply pipelines , thus preventing the formation of mold, fungus, frost penetration and rust
  • has the coefficient of heat conductivity of 0.0012 W/m °С
  • has a high degree of vapor permeability— 0.001 mg/m h Pa
  • does an excellent job of insulating many types of surfaces from air and water intrusion, does not react with salt-water solutions and alkalis
  • protects the surface against unfavorable climatic events
  • protects the surface against the formation of mold, fungus and frost penetration
  • can be applied to hard-to-reach areas without the need for expensive preparation work
  • does not impose additional load on the supporting structures of buildings and facilities
  • once dry after applying a 1-millimeter layer for the next 24 hours possesses insulation properties similar to 50-millimeter blanket insulation or 1.5 brick thick brickwork
  • does not impose additional load on the supporting structures of buildings and facilities
  • leaves no construction waste when applied
  • does not sustain combustion.

Examples of AKTERM Anti-Condensate™ Heat Insulation Coating Use

Weatherization of walls, floors and ceilings

Children’s bedrooms are places for comfortable living of the youngest and dearest members of the family – our children. These rooms must be neither too hot nor too cold nor too damp. Applying liquid heat insulation coating to the walls of children’s rooms will help to create perfect microclimate; this unique innovative material will preserve home comfort in the whole apartment.

Insulation of building facades and interpanel joints

The insulation coating that protects from condensation can also be used as traditional facade paint and a supplement to traditional heat-saving materials.

Basements and cellars

Using heat paint can completely eliminate dampness and mold on the basement walls of industrial and residential buildings and cellars. Frost penetration of apartment walls can also be easily removed using liquid insulation coating.

When applying coating to the walls of stairwells and building facades expenses on air conditioning and heating can be substantially reduced. Also, when using liquid insulation as base coat to paint floors with, it can help to remove the “cold bridge”. If heat insulation paint is applied to window openings, their freezing in wintertime can easily be avoided. When applying it to zinc-coated hangar ceilings, the condensation disappears forever.

With the help of this unique material applied with the layer thickness of only 0.5-1.0 mm, the heat loss can be significantly reduced – up to 30%, which will save a lot of your family budget. In order to apply an efficient layer of heat insulation to one square meter of the surface in question you will need no more than one kilogram of the heat paint. The lifetime of the finished insulation coating is over 10 years; if one strictly adheres to the application technology the heat insulation can serve for up to 50 years.
